Our Creative Team Building Workshops can be tailored to your needs, but here’s an example of one we ran recently for a large IT firm.
Requirement:
The team were having a strategy and team building day and wanted to break this up with something enjoyable and creative that kept the team focused on the day, made them think about their aims in a different way, and got them working as a team.
The Solution:
We designed a session which started with an introduction to photography, including hints and tips on how to take better photos. The group had a mixed bunch of people, some of whom only ever took photos on their phones, and others who had expensive cameras. The session was tailored so everyone got something out of it.
After the session we set off on a photography walk, and everyone was tasked with taking photos which illustrated the team’s key focuses for the year – better together, innovation, accountability, reflection and localisation.
The Outcome:
The team learned how to take better photos, and they spent time thinking laterally about their objectives. By taking part in the photo walk, looking for photos which represented each of their corporate aims, they worked as a team and gave each other honest feedback. By doing something creative, it took them out of their usual setting and way of thinking. They produced a poster incorporating the images from the day and the five corporate aims, which is now displayed in the office.
