The first ever 36exp Wedding Photography Workshop took place on Monday 25th February.
It should have been obvious, but organising a Wedding Photography Workshop, is basically the same as organising a wedding. This was our to do list, which started towards the end of last year:
- Find a photographer
- Book a date
- Find a venue
- Invite people
- Find a bride and groom (OK, so this is not normal for a real wedding)
- Choose a dress
- Arrange flowers
- Arrange lunch
- Book a make up artist
- Get everyone to the church on time
- Deal with emotional parents (really)
- Try not to get too drunk
Anyway, it was all worth it. We had Adam Riley, Professional Photographer Magazine’s Reportage Wedding Photographer of the Year, to run the workshop.
The weather didn’t turn out as we’d hoped, the bride got sick, all very realistic. The day was a great success, all we need to do now is hope the happy couple last.
Some brilliant photos by workshop attendees are in our Facebook Gallery.
